Overview

Come and discover the first peoples’ history, culture and traditions of the land they called “kairi” meaning the “Land of the Hummingbirds” which is now Trinidad.

Explore Trinidad from pre-Columbian times to the present, through lectures, videos viewing of artefacts, exhibition, sale of craft, publications and traditional food.

OVERVIEW

Trinidad, once called ‘Kairi’ was aboriginally inhabited by many groups of Amerindian peoples who populated the Caribbean and South American region. This trip gives you an opportunity to experience unique craft in basketry, pottery, hunting and fishing tools and household utensils.

Itinerary

Day 1 :

• Boarding time is 9am, and depart at 9:15
• Take a 30-minute drive to the borough of Arima
• Reach venue at 9:45
• Activities conducted by the community for approximately 2 hours from 10am
• Head back to hotel
